These will give you an idea of just how easy it is to steal a car! Videos will be added to this section as they are found, and we are also working on a few videos of our own. We will show you a few tricks that the thieves know, that you, up until now, can't find on the Internet. Keep an eye on this page. I would also like to note that none of these videos belong to Thieftech or Ravelco. They are just a small collection of videos I have found on the Internet, that I think people need to see.
As I have mentioned before, all of the tools used in these videos, and many other useful tools as well, are available freely on dozens of websites on the internet.
One particular website is www.lockpickshop.com, and there is also www.lockpicktools.com. These are two very popular and cost effective websites, selling all of the tools needed to get into a car, and in a good number of cases, drive them away.
Let's start off with some good old fashioned fun.
This is a video showing how car thieves can completely strip a Honda Civic in 5 minutes and 38 seconds. And a personal note to go with it, anyone that has a vehicle stolen knows it takes, on average, 45 minutes, for the Police to arrive and take a report. By the time they get to you, your car is toast. If you don't believe me, ask a friend or family member that has been the victim of vehicle theft.
This is a video showing how the popular key system that is used by BMW, Audi, VW, Honda, and other, can be easily defeated. These are "laser cut" keys. As opposed to the traditional two-sided cut auto key that has been used for many years, these keys and smooth on the top and bottom, and instead have a laser engraved cut down the sides of the key.
This shows how a simple kit can be used to decode all of these locks, and open them.
